As mentioned in our recent meeting, DC219 member and Treasurer, Les Lamkin, is colored-pencil-painting, painting, painting away to produce work for his upcoming one-man show at the Old School House Gallery!
We now have the date for the reception: March 8th, 5-8pm.
Let's all make the greatest effort to be there and support Less and the Old School House!

ATTENTION: Santa Fe Pencilers
Are there any colored pencil artists in Santa Fe who would like to get together to paint with pencils? (once a week? twice a month? whenever?)
Lally Barnes Freeman has a casita that she uses as her studio and would be interested in inviting 2-3 colored pencil artists to join her on a limited basis. Come share the comraderie of other colored pencil painters!
Contact Lally if you are interested.

REMINDER: Masterworks!
Just a little reminder that Masterworks is right around the corner!
One of the Jurors in the Miniature Division had to withdraw. Taking her place will be Nancy Woods Tabor, which means Nancy will not be eligible to enter the colored pencil division of the miniatures.
We are going to need a LOT of quality entries in the Colored Pencil division, so DC219: get to work! And happy creating!!

SHOW & TELL:
After all that excitement, Rex set us up to watch the CPSA's 2012 Show Exhibitions, including the International Exhibition and Explore This! —*including all the award winners! It was a great opportunity to see all the gorgeous works in those shows. Bonus: Rex shared photos from his last trip to the big Flea Market Show in Oregon. They were some really cool and inspiration shots, thanks so much Rex!
