EVENT: The Downtown Go! Arts Festival

Last month we had our very own booth in a street art festival in downtown Albuquerque. We had a fabulous time and garnered much attention from people that had no idea the CPSA existed. We really got our name out there and even sold a few pieces. Blew are a few pieces from the three days we spent at the booth:

MEETING: Nicholas Ng

Nicholas was kind enough to demonstrate his technique of colored pencil blending using many layers and rubbing with cotton. Thanks you Micholas - although many of us doubt we have your patience!

Nicholas displays samples of his work and them shows us how he starts very lightly with the pencil, then rubs with the cottom.

Sharpening pencils with a razor saves color! Barbara Nahler tests out Nichlas' method.
